What We Are All About – Missions
Walking On Water Missions Trips sends surfers to where Christ is not known. Many countries already have a well established surf culture, or one that is rapidly developing each year. For example, Japan, one of the least evangelized countries in the world, has an estimated 2-3 million surfers! There are more surfers in Japan then there are Christians. Who is going to reach them? North Africa, South America, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Ireland, and France… the list goes on and on. Surfers have the perfect opportunity to take Christ where He is not yet known.
What We Do
A typical missions trip is anywhere between 8-14 days and includes outreach events such as Walking On Water surf movie nights, passing out free Walking On Water DVD's to surfers, free surf clinics, and serving the local community. We make every effort to work alongside a local church or para church organization so that the people we minister to can get plugged in. Please consider getting involved in Walking On Water Missions, by joining us on a trip, or by helping out with finances & prayer, or all three! Jesus took 12 ordinary men and changed the entire world for all of eternity. We are those ordinary men and women. Important Application Info
Team members are responsible for the costs of their own missions trips. You may pay for it yourself, or trust God to raise the needed funds (approximately $1,500 – $3,000). For some this is intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. It will be a tremendous faith-building exercise that gives others a chance to invest in what God is doing, and is done all the time by ordinary believers. We will provide you with helpful information regarding support-raising for missions, which will walk you through the process.
