Our Director of Missions is currently leading a missions team of 15 people in Japan. They are showing the Walking On Water film with Japanese subtitles, handing out Noah's Arc dvds for free, and working with Christian Surfers Japan to share the Gospel with as many as possible. Please be praying for the team as they travel through Japan this week. Thank you!0 Discuss & Comment
We have been very encouraged to see many different missionaries and partnering ministries help us to continue the Walking On Water Film World Tour. Shaun Strauss from Son Surf South Africa teamed up with Terry Bowdler and the Youth With A Mission DTS group from Australia to screen the Walking On Water film at St. Agnes church in Kloof, South Africa. Here is the update from Shaun:
"The outreach on Saturday night went well, thanks for the prayers. Many people commented to me afterwards that the movie was awesome and that they were very blessed by it. We had a SA pro surfer share his testimony and present the gospel and he did very well. The Surfers DTS team was a blessing."

We had a great family movie night screening the Beyond The Dream movie and showing the trailer to the new Promised Land movie that we will be filming in Israel in October of 2009. We also had special musical guest Josh Garrels who performed some of his incredible new songs from his latest album. Josh is currently touring California and Oregon. I highly recommend you go see him live! Josh Garrels tour dates: (www.joshgarrels.com)
This event was also a fundraiser for the Promised Land project. Thank you to everyone who attended and who generously made donations to this project that is so close to God's heart. We also want to thank Julie Gormick for doing such a great job organizing this event!2 Discuss & Comment
It is so amazing to see how God works in His perfect ways! We had been planning this outreach for a few weeks before we realized that it was going to be on the exact date marking the two year anniversary of the death of Emery Kauanui Jr. who was a local surfer murdered in La Jolla, California. God clearly had a bigger and better plan for this outreach event. A huge crowd showed up at the Carlsbad Lagoon to celebrate the life of Emery Kauanui Jr. The action packed day included a BMX demo, Skateboard demo, Wakeboard demo, five talented bands, celebrity MC Sonny from P.O.D., and a screening of the Beyond The Dream surf movie. There were four local news stations there to cover the event. Emery's mom Cindy Kauanui and brothers Caleb and Nigel were the guests of honor. Caleb is one of the best graffiti artists in the world and created an amazing mural of his brother Emery and also gave the kids an opportunity to test their artistic talents on their own mini mural. Nigel is a very talented Hip Hop artist and performed two songs in memory of Emery. Along side of Nigel were his very talented break dancers. Miles McPherson from the Rock Church did an incredible job sharing the Gospel with the crowd who had already been very impacted by Emery and his family's story. Many came forward to receive Christ! We want to thank Miles Ahead, all the local churches, and Brett "Bird" Matson for doing such an incredible job organizing and promoting the outreach.0 Discuss & Comment
